Creating an Analog Activity

An Analog post is a status update in the form of a message made by analog users.
It can be a comment, picture, or other media that is posted on the user's Analog Orbit page along with a “timed” activity or event. -
Creating and posting an Analog activity through the app is easy.
To create a post, simply tap the Create Analog button and you'll land on the Create Analog page. Fill in the fields and hit the Post button located at the upper right corner of the page.

Creating recurring analog activity is possible especially if you have a repetitive activity that you need to follow on a daily basis – for instance, daily workout for fitness and health or whatever purposes it could be.
To post a recurring analog activity, simply:
- Click on the Create Analog button.
- Put in your Analog description which would be the main content and idea of your post e.g. Daily Workout.
- Set an analog timer.
- Set a repeat value by clicking on Repeat.
- Specify end repeat value by clicking on End Repeat Please note that End Repeat will only show once you have selected a repeat value.
- Additionally, you can optionally add media, set your post privacy, enable time change, or even tag connections or a location.
- Once done, hit the Post
- Click on the Create Analog button.

The app can enable the user to attach a media (audio, video, or an image) to be shared with their analog contacts within their network when creating an analog post or an activity.
To create an analog post with a media attached to it, simply do the following:
- Click on the Create Analog button.
- Put in your Analog description which would be the main content and idea of your e.g. Daily Workout.
- Hit the button Add Media.
- On the Upload Media page, hit the navigation button.
- Select a media source from one of the following: My Device, Link (URL), Web Search, Facebook, Instagram, Google Drive.
- Once a media source is selected, browse the image.
- Once an image has been selected, hit the Upload The image is uploaded to the Analog app and you are back in the Create Analog page.
- Additionally, you can optionally configure your analog to repeat on a certain schedule, set your post privacy, enable time change, or even tag connections or a location.
- Once done, hit the Post
- Click on the Create Analog button.

Setting a limit of who can only see your post is doable within the Analog app when creating and posting activity.
To add and specify the privacy settings, simply:
- Click on the Create Analog button.
- Put in your Analog description which would be the main content and idea of your e.g. Daily Workout.
- Set the analog timer.
- Tap the Set Privacy and select an option of who can see your analog post.
- Select privacy post settings either Public, Connections, Connection except, Specific Connections, and Only Me. To select, put a mark on the radio button.
- Once a privacy post setting has been selected, click the back button to go back to the Create Analog page.
- On the Create Analog page – additionally, you can optionally set a repeat to have your post recur, even add media, enable time change, or even tag connections or a location.
- Once done, hit the Post
- Click on the Create Analog button.

Tagging someone when creating and posting an analog activity is available for you when using the app. When you tag someone, you create a link to their profile. The analog post you created to tag the person may also be added to that person’s timeline. For instance, you can tag a photo to show who's in the photo or post a status update and say who you're with. If you tag a friend in your analog post, anyone who sees that post can click on your friend's name and go to their profile. Your status update may also show up on that friend's timeline.
When you tag someone, they will be notified. Also, if you or a friend tags someone in your post, the post could be visible to the audience you selected plus friends of the tagged person.
To tag someone:
- Click on the Create Analog button.
- Put in your Analog description which would be the main content and idea of your e.g. Daily Workout.
- Set the analog timer.
- Tap the Add button right next to Tag Connections and you will be taken to the Tag Connections page.
- On the Tag Connections page, you can choose a contact to be tagged for your analog post that you are about to post. On this page, you can also make use of the search functions to quickly sort and filter out contacts.
- Once a contact(s) has been selected, click the Done back button to go back to the Create Analog page.
- On the Create Analog page – additionally, you can optionally set a repeat to have your post recur, adjust your post privacy settings, even add media, enable time change, or even tag a location.
- Once done, hit the Post
- Click on the Create Analog button.

Tagging a location is somewhat the same as tagging someone when creating and posting an analog activity. Adding and tagging a location is basically showing where were you when you made the post. Adding a location can have many purposes depending on the user’s discretion but regardless of whatever the user’s reason are, location is added when the user has created the post.
To add a location on your analog post:
- Click on the Create Analog button.
- Put in your Analog description which would be the main content and idea of your e.g. Daily Workout.
- Set the analog timer.
- Tap the Map button right next to Tag Location and the geolocation page will come up.
- On the Geolocation page, you can choose a location to be tagged for your analog post that you are about to post. To select a location, just hit the Tag In this page, you can also make use of the search functions to quickly sort and filter out locations.
- Once a location has been selected, you will be automatically going back to Create Analog page.
- On the Create Analog page – additionally, you can optionally set a repeat to have your post recur, adjust your post privacy settings, even add media, enable time change, or even tag a location.
- Once done, hit the Post
- Click on the Create Analog button.
